For over a decade, we have partnered with Minnesota Public Radio’s 89.3 The Current to engage people in important conversations about public policy and issues in the news. These conversations, usually held in the casual setting of a bar, restaurant, or theater, feature different viewpoints on issues ranging from higher education to mental health, transportation to the environment. We call it Policy and a Pint®.
On November 2nd, the Citizens League and Minnesota Public Radio brought Policy and a Pint® to Duluth, MN for a conversation on entrepreneurial approaches to increase wealth for low income communities.
MPR’s Dan Kraker was joined by Erik Torch, Director of Grantmaking at the Northland Foundation; Angie Miller, Executive Director of Community Action Duluth; and Moira Villiard, Art & Cultural Program Coordinator at the American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO).
Thanks to Target and The Bush Foundation for their support of Policy and a Pint® this year!
With the hashtag #PolicyPint on social media, you can follow and tweet along with each of these events.
