The Citizens League is partnering with Environmental Initiative and the Minnesota Department of Health on a statewide drinking water project. Environmental Initiative is convening conversations with environmental experts and activists, water experts, land use decision makers, and policy makers, while Citizens League seeks to engage community members who may be new to conversations about drinking water.
If you identify as an environmental expert or activist, water expert, land use decision maker, or policy maker, it will be more appropriate for you to participate in the meetings with Environmental Initiative. Please reach out to Erin ([email protected]) at Environmental Initiative for dates, locations, and more details.
The Citizens League recognizes that communities are critical to this conversation and that is why we are seeking your input.
These conversations will guide the future creation of a statewide collaborative to protect drinking water in our state. We are interested in your experiences and understanding of drinking water in your community. We hope you can join us for this very important conversation! Citizens League values your input and is providing $25 gift cards to all participants at the completion of the event. Additionally, if you have transportation or childcare needs, we can provide a stipend of up to $50 to support your attendance. We hope to see you there!
Community conversations have already taken place in Grand Rapids, Nashwauk, and Virginia, Minnesota.
Our next community conversations take place in Perham, Minnesota on Tuesday, October 29, and Worthington, Minnesota on November 9, 2019.
