Access to mental health care remains a challenge for many Minnesotans. For communities of color, barriers such as provider shortages, cultural stigma, language differences, and limited access to culturally responsive care can make getting help even more difficult.
Join the Citizens League and the Center for Rural Policy & Development for an Interconnected conversation inspired by the Center’s report, Barriers & Bridges: Access to Mental Healthcare for Rural Minnesota’s Communities of Color. Together, we’ll explore how these challenges affect communities across Minnesota, both rural and urban, and discuss promising approaches to improving access and outcomes.
Hear from researchers, advocates, community leaders, and mental health professionals working to advance culturally responsive mental health care for Minnesota’s diverse communities.
