Thanks to all who joined us for our 2020 Capitol Pathways End of Session Celebration! Students, supporters, and others gathered online for this virtual event.
The event kicked off with a live welcome from Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, who delivered remarks about the importance of programs like Capitol Pathways to introduce young leaders of color in policy and government.
“I hope that in this moment you see the importance of having black, brown and Indigenous people as part of civic life and as part of government,” said Lt. Gov. Flanagan. “If we’re truly going to achieve the the beauty of this democracy, our government needs to accurately reflect the people it seeks to represent.”

There are now 164 Capitol Pathways alumni—all young leaders who provide critical leadership at both the legislature and network of organizations that make up the civic fabric of our region.
