Reframing Caregiving

Caregiving is transforming the way individuals and communities participate in the workforce, think about aging, and plan for retirement. For the last several years, Citizens League together with Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, Minnesota Design Center and University of Minnesota Institute of Community Integration, collaborated on the pressing issue of individuals who find themselves ‘sandwiched’ between caring for both elders and young children also known as Sandwich Caregiving. With the project at its completion, “Reframing Caregiving: A Guide for More Inclusive and Effective 21st Century Caregiving” centers on the lived experiences of communities that are most impacted and promotes best practices to transform the way we think, talk, and relate to Sandwich Caregiving.
