Each year the Citizens League invites its members, partners and others in the community to the Civic Celebration. It’s an opportunity for other politically interested Minnesotans from across the political spectrum to gather, celebrate recent successes, and look forward to new challenges. It’s also an opportunity to honor leaders in our community who have dedicated their lives to leadership, public service, and civic solutions. This year, the Citizens League honored two true civic trailblazers: Dr. Josie Johnson and Susan Kimberly. Both honorees have shown how an individual person’s actions in civic life can have ripple effects throughout communities and generations.
