Nominations and Leadership Development Committee

Required by the bylaws, the Nominations and Leadership Development Committee should develop the policies and practices that consider the lifespan of leadership engagement individuals have with the Citizens League.
The goal for 2008 is to develop a set of tools that help the Citizens League Board of Directors:
- Manage process for nominating individuals to the board.
- Attract new talent to the Citizens League and develop their capacity for organizational leadership.
- Advise board chair on committee assignments.
- Define standards and the process for recognition and awards.
- Consider succession planning for governance leadership.
- Identify leadership opportunities for former board members.
Committee Composition
The committee is chaired by the immediate-past chair and comprised of 3-4 board members, and 3-4 non-board members who may or may not be members of the Citizens League. This has been the past convention and may be renegotiated as part of the committee's work in 2008.
