We talk a lot about health and health care these days, and what we expect America's health care system to deliver to us ... but what would you say to someone who suggested you could begin to take charge of your own health through modern technology and even iPhone apps that could help you change your health for the better?
That's the suggestion made by Thomas Goetz, Executive Editor at WIRED magazine, in his new book "The Decision Tree". Goetz says there's plenty of science that suggests personal accountability makes a big difference in helping us make better choices, and simple technology to help us toward that end is all around us.
Thomas Goetz has been a journalist for more than 15 years, first reporting on media and business at the Village Voice, then at the Wall Street Journal, followed by two years at the Industry Standard. He has been with Wired since 2001. Goetz also writes about science, health and medicine. He has a Masters of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
