Brandl   Whitehead

Our keynote this year is historian Barbara Dafoe Whitehead, a scholar of similar openness and breadth, who will talk about the lost virtue of thrift, a subject about which Americans of all political and philosophical views increasingly resonate and worry about.

Dr. Whitehead is director of the John Templeton Center for Thrift and Generosity at the Institute for American Values in New York. Her newest book is Franklin's Thrift: The Lost History of an American Virtue.
