Policy%20and%20Pint%20Marquee.CL%20rights2%20cropped.jpgColin Beavan tried to live for a year without making an environmental impact: no trash, no elevators, no car, no products in packages, no air-conditioning, no television. But he wasn't living in a commune in the backwoods, he was living in New York City with his wife and toddler. While most of us wouldn't choose to go as far as Beavan, his experiment taught him the things you could do beyond recycling to reduce your part of the carbon cycle.

Join moderator Steve Seel, DJ from 89.3 The Current, and Colin Beavan as they discuss why you should turn off your air conditioning and how Beavan thinks such decisions could make your life better.

Colin Beavan writes and administers the blog NoImpactMan.com, which has become a meeting point for discussion of environmental issues from a "deep green" perspective. About 1.3 million people have visited the blog since he established it a year and a half ago and it was named one of the world's top 15 environmental websites by Time Magazine.

Policy and a Pint is presented by Citizens League and 89.3 The Current.
