Inter-Generational Event Series Featuring Dick McFarland & Tom Swain

Dick McFarland, retired vice chairman of Dain Rauscher. The nameplate on his door, "Village Elder", is a sign of both his genuine wisdom, and his genuine sense of humor. He was elected vice president in 1957, senior vice president in 1969 president in 1972, and president and chief executive officer in 1976. He currently serves on the Board of the McKnight Foundation and is active in the Twin Cities community.
Tom Swain, has a rare mix of leadership experience in business, education, nonprofits and politics, and has been a mentor and friend to policy leaders for two generations. He is currently the Mayor of the City of Lilydale. He serves as a director for both Twin Cities RISE and Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library. He is also actively involved with the University of Minnesota, where he served as the Acting Vice President for Institutional Relations from 1996-1998 and again in 2004.
