Strategies and Methods for Reducing Governmental Fleet Size
with Jeff Friedman of Public Financial Management
Wednesday, February 22
4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
555 North Wabasha, 4th Floor Board Room
Saint Paul, 55102
This talk will focus on the case study of Philadelphia's program over the last few years. Jeff was very involved as a consultant working with a program in Philadelaphia and it has been recognized as a finalist in Harvard University's Innovations in Government award competition.
This discussion will be particularly useful to those with an interest in alternative transportation methods and governmental efficiency. Nearly every government has a fleet; complex and expensive equipment and vehicles that support an array of important government services. Even smaller governments spend millions of dollars acquiring and maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment - therefore, more informed fleet management that employs analytical techniques and adopts best practices can produce significant cost avoidance/savings and improved service delivery.
Light refreshments will be served.
There is no cost to attend this event.
