It's all about the infrastructure: David Brooks weighs in

I'm going to use the term "infrastructure" until I can't stand it anymore -- because I think it so aptly describes what we need to rebuild in so many different areas of our poltical and civic and social lives. (Having said that, I know the term is awkward.)

David Brooks' latest column describes some opportunities looking at our national "mobility infrastructure" that I think are timely, and appopriate no matter who wins, and at the state level in MN.

Hi Sean,

Me, I'm going to use the term INFORMATION infrastructure until I can't stand it any more. Sure, rebuilding mobility infrastructure is a Good Thing and I'm for that. But it's sooo 20th century.

Why not throw $100 billion at getting fiber into everybody's house/business and eliminate the need for the trips? Lot of side benefits -- energy, climate, education, international competitiveness, etc.
