New effort to engage students in conversations about the national debt
The Pete Peterson Foundation, Public Agenda, and others have set up a new organization, Facing Up, to help involve and educate students in the national debt and our long term budget crisis.
I understand why this issue isn't as timely as our impending election, but I think it's behind the motivation of young people to participate in the election this year. I hope so.
I think this entitlement/debt issue will be the cause of our next fiscal crisis (it's behind our current one) if we don't do something.
