Iowa Rocks....
So much for the notion that citizens don't pay attention or participate. Or that election success is only about money. Or that there isn't a huge bi-partisan interest in "change", competance, and accountability.
Iowa only confirms that we need a new discussion on race, on "politics", and have to bridge the looming/current generational tensions.
There is something going on. I think it will take time to see if it materializes. There is still the need for an "infrastructure" that makes good on what Iowans of both parties told the candidates they wanted. Voting, and any president, aren't enough. The risk here is that this becomes hype and not real political change.
