I haven't disappeared...

...I'm just caught up in:

  • Annual Meeting planning: I hope you'll attend, and bring friends.
  • MAP 150 work. Stay tuned. This is going to be a lot of fun. And your questions and concerns have been helpful. Keep them coming, and watch the MAP 150 blog and weekly Citizens League e-mails for updates and answers to common questions.
  • Listening to Patti Griffin's cd "Impossible Dream". Damn she's an amazing song-writer. She and Lyle Lovett need to get married and have lots of kids who keep writing great music.

On Policy: I'm also wondering if higher education is starting to simmer again. I hope so. It was two years ago now that we were finalizing the release of our higher ed report. The recent work by US Secretary Spellings supports our efforts from two years ago. Here's a link to the summary, and a link to the full report. Here's what Inside Higher Ed said.

But with readiness not moving forward, what will actually cause the systems -- and citizens -- to change?
