Transportation Policy Priorities for 2008
The Citizens League continues to work on implementing our transportation policy agenda based on the 2005 study committee report "Driving Blind." For the 2008 legislative session we have three priorities. Priority #1: Fund and implement the Urban Partnership Agreement (UPA). Priority #2: Establish the mechanisms that will provide the choices represented by the UPA in all congested areas. Priority #3: Integrate More Transparent Funding to Support Transportation Choices and Improve the Safety of Roads and Bridges. Stay tuned for opportunities to engage in these implementation efforts.
